The main source of clean water in our community is tap water. However, this can only be afforded by a handful of families. A jerrycan of water goes for shs 500 ($0.13) and shs 1000($0.27) in the dry season.
Few families can afford such high water rates since most of the families live below the poverty line.
We therefore constructed a community borehole through our generous friends and partners to reduce waterborne diseases in our community which contribute to less household incomes.
